"From Above And Below" features two long and slowly evolving ambient tracks, recorded in early 2015. While "Tideline" is a soft and warm meditation, that builds up gradually to be followed by waves of mellow scratches and crackles, "Green Cavern" assembles analogue synthesizers and manipulated field-recordings in a dense and hardly noticeable way.
Both tracks are a mixture of real and synthetic, electronic sounds and create a calm yet challenging atmosphere, that is driven by a continous flow of frequency shifts and small alterations in sound, while at the same time being accompanied by rustling vestiges in the fore and background.
Headphones are recommended.

REVIEWS
Vital Weekly (976): "In the previous bunch of Midnight Circles releases there was also a release by Aaron Yabrov, of whom we otherwise don't know much. Here he offers two fifteen-minute pieces of ambient music, which he apparently creates with synthesizers, field recordings, 'mellow scratches and crackles'. The latter might be true, but field recordings were otherwise a bit harder to hear in these two pieces. It's perhaps not as light as his previous release, but I quite enjoyed this one also. 'Tideline' was a bit lighter with those scratches/crackles and 'Green Cavern' a bit darker and austere. Everything moved quite slowly and minimal, just like we expect these things to do. "
